It is a dark, dark reddish-brown colored, deep, smoky and earthy scented essential oil. They are wild herbs that can be found in tropical regions such as India, Tahiti, Java, and Haiti. It is also grown in America, sold in small fragrance bags. Oil efficiency is generally low as oil is difficult to separate from water. The oil quality increases as the roots grow and develop. Due to calming effect, Vetiver Essential Oil is referred to as the “Oil of
Tranquility”. Awnings and sunshades were made from these herbs known as "khus-khus"
in Kolkata. In hot weather, they give an exquisite fragrance by sprinkling with water. The
root were placed in sachets protects the Indian muslin from moths and insects. While its
